Student Speaker Contest – Master’s Ceremony

USC Rossier is looking for an outstanding student speaker to represent the Rossier experience at the 2025 Commencement Master’s Ceremony on May 16, 2025. The ideal candidate will speak compellingly about the impact of a Rossier education on their life, share a meaningful personal story and can articulate future goals to positively impact education. They will also have excellent speaking and presentation skills.

In addition to being the student speaker at USC Rossier’s commencement ceremony, the winner will receive Platform Party Seating on stage.

Entry Information

Candidate MUST:

• Be qualified to graduate in Fall 2024, Spring 2025 or Summer 2025
• Be in good academic standing
• Submit the following by March 1 at midnight.: (Pay close attention to the required documents and the format being requested.)
  • Current CV/Resume (PDF)
  • One paragraph biography (Word Doc) – 200 words (Will be used in the digital program and announcements)
  • Headshot – JPEG of at least 300 DPI
  • A two-minute speech (Word Doc) – 400 words
    • Your speech should answer the prompt;
    • “My experiences at USC Rossier have helped me [or will help me to] move our Educational Equity mission forward by…”
• A video delivering the above speech (file or URL)

The winner will be announced April 11.
