The Purple Gavel Group (PGG) is launching this August!

Hello Fellow Trojans,

The Purple Gavel Group (PGG) is launching this August and needs your support!

PGG is a California based non-profit organization with a specific focus on empowering teens and young adults from primarily low-income communities through strategic counseling programs, conferences and events, and through access to relevant legal and professional workshops and web content.

As a former Rossier graduate student, educator and counselor, it is important to me to share our vision with like-minded educators and professionals and build momentum around our mission to empower, educate, and elevate our youth in certain under-represented communities. I am currently reaching out to all of my personal and professional networks to share our information and build support in any way we can including strategic partnerships, volunteers, counseling/ MFT interns, sharing of information, donations, etc.

My direct line is below and I can be reached at any time. This mission is very near and dear to my heart and I welcome all suggestions, recommendations, and advisement. We aim to get this right and truly impact the communities we serve.

Thank you!

Allison L. Sherman

Become a Rossier Class Champion!

Become a Rossier Class Champion!

The Rossier School is pleased to announce the Class Champion Program for the Class of 2018. We are currently recruiting volunteers from among the graduating students in each of our programs to help us keep in touch with our graduates, and help our graduates stay informed, and connected with one another.

Last year’s class champions played a critical role in helping to secure over 100 updates from their classmates for Rossier’s Class Notes newsletter!

What will Class Champions do?

  • Manage communication with approximately 25-40 of their fellow graduates. We will provide names and initial contact information prior to graduation.
  • Contact these classmates on a regular basis via email (every two months between May and December) to ensure that Rossier has updated, post-graduate contact information and current employment information.
  • Share information on resources, events and other opportunities offered through Rossier.

How many Class Champions are you looking to recruit?

We hope to have one Class Champion for every 25 graduating students, so we are looking for approximately 35 Class Champions spread across all Rossier degree programs.

How do apply to become a Class Champion?

Please complete an online application by Friday, April 27, 2018.

For more information please contact Nare Khodadadians, Career Services Specialist at nkhodada@rossier.usc.edu.
