Job Description:
Dornsife Career Pathways works to align students’ academic interests with individual career and professional pathways through exploration and engagement in curricular and co-curricular opportunities. We work in collaboration with academic advisors, career counselors, faculty, and alumni to provide a network of resources to address students’ professional aspirations. USC Dornsife Career Pathways is looking to hire a Graduate student worker to work with a small team and serve as a Graduate Assistant to:
• Manage, update, and create Website pages and content
• Develop, organize, and distribute bi-monthly newsletter content
• Create social media posts and promotional material
• Update and implement a social media campaign based on different department categories; scaffold and create themes/ content for categories
• Support staff with remote and/or in-person workshops, events, and programs
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Enrollment in Graduate/Professional school Master’s program in higher education, student affairs, career services, academic advising, educational counseling, counseling, applied psychology, counseling psychology, communication, marketing, or related field
• Proficient with social, print, and digital media
• Knowledgeable of computer/media software like CMS, Canva, MyEmma, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Cloud, Publisher
• Ability to work well independently, remotely, and in team-setting
• Values trust, creativity, collaboration, performance, service, and education
Start Date: Academic Year, August 23 – May 6, 2021 (Start date is negotiable)
Work Hours: 15-20hrs. per week, M-F, 9am – 5pm
Compensation: Hourly, $15.50
