Nominations now open for the 2024 Dean’s Student Advisory Council

OCL Students,

Please see the important message below regarding the Rossier Dean’s Student Advisory Council:

Warm wishes to you as you approach the end of your fall semester! As you wrap up your coursework or research, I want you to know of an opportunity to get involved in the student experience at Rossier.

Dean Noguera is looking forward to the second year of his Dean’s Student Advisory Council, which he created to increase the student voice and improve the student experience. The Rossier Dean’s Student Advisory Council brings together a group of Rossier students to guide the Dean and school leaders on important issues throughout the year.

The Council will meet with the Dean once or twice in the spring 2024 semester. Meetings will be held at 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time, in hybrid format both on campus and online to accommodate members who are not able to attend on campus. Students who are selected as members will serve until the end of the spring semester. If you would like to nominate yourself for the Council, please indicate your interest here:

Nominations for spring will close on Friday, December 15.

Student Advisory Council members will be selected from among the nominations by a group representing Rossier staff, faculty, and students. The selection committee’s goal will be to identify members representative of the degree programs, both on campus and online, with a passion for improving the student experience at Rossier. Consideration will also be given to increasing the number of voices in such conversations with the Dean.

The Dean looks forward to hearing from students who would like to join these discussions, and to sharing the results of these conversations with all Rossier students.

Sincerely,

Jessica Gibson

Assistant Dean, Student Affairs
