Tams must be purchased; mortar boards are included with cap and gown rentals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: How do we manage our hoods and gowns before and during the ceremony?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: It\u2019s recommended to hang your gown to avoid wrinkling. A link will be posted on this site in May.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: What\u2019s the difference between USC Commencement Main Stage Ceremony, Rossier Doctoral Commencement Ceremony and Rossier Master\u2019s Commencement Ceremony?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: At the Main Stage Ceremony, graduates from the entire University participate. The Rossier Doctoral Commencement Ceremony is only for the EdD and PhD students, at which that time they are hooded. \u00a0The Rossier Master\u2019s Commencement Ceremony is only for the School of Education Master&#8217;s graduates. No tickets are needed for the USC Rossier ceremonies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: If I graduated in Fall 2025, can I participate in Commencement May 2026?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: Yes, as long as you have not previously participated in commencement ceremonies.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"masters\">Master\u2019s Commencement Ceremony<\/h2>\n<p>Q: Where is the School of Education\u2019s Master&#8217;s Commencement Ceremony being held?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A:\u00a0 USC Galen Center<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: How do I attend Commencement while I\u2019m still student teaching?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: You are able to walk in Commencement, but you will need to go back to the school to finish out your remaining weeks of student teaching.\u00a0 However, if the school district is open longer than our classes, they stop on USC\u2019s official last day of class.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: Are tickets required for guest(s) to attend the Rossier Master\u2019s Commencement Ceremony?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: No, tickets are required for the USC Rossier ceremonies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: How do I attend commencement if\u00a0I\u2019m still in class and student teaching?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: If you will be missing class for any reason (class conflicts, travel plans, etc.) you must let your Course Instructor and your Guiding Teacher know in advance. It is your responsibility to make arrangements to make up missed class time and fieldwork. Rossier faculty are aware that you may need to make special arrangements due to Commencement and are willing to make accommodations depending on your circumstances.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"doctoral\">Doctoral Commencement Ceremony<\/h2>\n<p>Q: Who participates in the Rossier Doctoral Commencement Ceremony?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: The Rossier Doctoral Ceremony is for both PhD and EdD students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: Where is the School of Education\u2019s Doctoral Commencement Ceremony being held?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A:\u00a0 McCarthy Quad<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: Who will hood me at the Doctoral Commencement Ceremony?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: Doctoral students are hooded by their chair. If your chair is not present, another chair or an Associate Dean will step in.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: Are tickets required for guest(s) to attend the Rossier Doctoral Commencement Ceremony?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: No, tickets are required for the USC Rossier ceremonies.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"rsvp\">RSVP &amp; Tickets<\/h2>\n<p>Q: I am a graduate, do I need a ticket?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: No tickets needed to enter, but each <strong>registered<\/strong> graduate will receive a Stage Pass via <a href=\"https:\/\/usc.tassel.com\/#\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Tassel<\/span><\/a> in April. This will allow your name to be called furing the ceremony.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: What is a Stage Pass?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: <strong>A Stage Pass is a document that contains a QR Code that will be used by the graduate when walking across the stage<\/strong>. ALL <strong>registered<\/strong> graduates will be provided with a <a href=\"https:\/\/students.rossier.usc.edu\/commencement\/stage-passes-on-tassel-com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stage Pass electronically towards the end of April<\/a> via the Tassel platform.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: Do my guests need tickets to attend the Rossier Commencement Ceremonies?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: No, tickets are required for the USC Rossier ceremonies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: Can I bring a stroller into the venue?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A:\u00a0 <u>Strollers will not be permitted inside the venue.<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: Can they stand outside or in the back of the venue?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: Guests will not be allowed to block any exits, aisles, or paths of the ceremony.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"book\">Commencement Program<\/h2>\n<p>Q: What information does the USC Online Commencement Program include?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\"><span style=\"color: #990000\">A: The <\/span><a style=\"color: #990000\" href=\"https:\/\/camel2.usc.edu\/commbook\/schools\/EDUC\/degrees\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">USC Online Commencement Program <\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #990000\">includes the graduate\u2019s name and for doctoral students, dissertation title.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #990000\">Students who graduated in Fall 2025 or who have an expected graduation date of Spring or Summer 2026 will be listed in the USC Online Commencement program. If you would like to check your your listing, you can review at <a href=\"https:\/\/camel2.usc.edu\/commbook\/schools\/EDUC\/degrees\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">USC Online Program<\/span>.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: Can you add\/delete students\u2019 names from the USC\u00a0 Commencement Online Program?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: Students are added or removed from the USC Commencement Online Progam based on whether or not they have finished their requirements within the specified time frame.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: If I have more than one major, will I be listed in only one section or in all sections?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #800000\">A: Your name will be listed in all sections.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: What should I do if I legally changed my name and want it to appear in the Commencement Program?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: <\/span><span style=\"color: #800000\">A correction or change to your name as it appears on your academic records. To change or correct your student name, you must complete a <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/arr.usc.edu\/students\/student-forms\/\">Request for Change\/Correction of Student Number\/Name form.<\/a><\/span> The request must be accompanied by a court order, valid driver&#8217;s license, certificate of naturalization, certificate of marriage or some other form of positive identification. A photo I.D. must also be presented.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: I only want my middle initial to appear in the Commencement Program instead of my full middle name.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: Your name will appear as your University record indicates. To make\u00a0 a change, you must complete a <span style=\"color: #800000\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/arr.usc.edu\/students\/student-forms\/\">Request for Change\/Correction of Student Number\/Name form.<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"diplomas\">Diplomas<\/h2>\n<p>Q: When should I expect my diploma to arrive and will it arrive with a hard cover?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: Diplomas are mailed 6-8 weeks after the conclusion of the final semester; they\u2019re mailed in a cardboard envelope sent via 1st class mail.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: How much do I have to pay for the shipping of my diploma?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: There is no cost for shipping; the diplomas are mailed to the permanent address on file.\u00a0 More diploma information can be found <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/arr.usc.edu\/records-transcripts\/diplomas\/\">here<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"misc\">Miscellaneous Questions<\/h2>\n<p>Q: How many times a year does commencement take place?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A:\u00a0 It occurs in the May of each academic year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: How much time will it take to exit campus after Commencement?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: Allow approximately an hour to get off campus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: Are there any fees or costs associated with Commencement?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: There are no fees for participating in commencement. You only need to rent your regalia. Class ring, announcements, etc. are optional.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: Is parking complimentary for guests?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: Parking for all official commencement events is complimentary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: What if it rains?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: There is no rain-date for Commencement.\u00a0 Fortunately, Southern California tends to be dry in May, though we recommend that you bring a poncho if rain is forecasted.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\"><em>*Rossier Ceremonies are completely covered by a tent or inside a venue.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: Where do I order announcements?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: Announcements are ordered at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscbookstore.com\/commencement\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">USC Bookstore<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: If one of my guests is in a wheelchair, will thier seating be any different?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #990000\">A: We have a section for wheelchairs.<strong> <u>One<\/u><\/strong> additional guest will be able to sit with them in this section.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Q: Will wheelchairs be available for the Main Stage Ceremony and Rossier commencements?
